COLOMBO (News 1st); Trade Minister Bandula Gunawardena on Sunday (11) said he will take responsibility for ensuring that a kilogram of Nadu and Kekulu rice is available for less than Rs. 100/- for a period of three years, by amending the necessary laws and regulations.
‘We cannot allow the price of rice to increase,’ said the Minister adding that the government will not allow anyone to make undue profits by amassing paddy stocks during this difficult time period.
