Ven. Amila Thero questions who contributed to end the war

COLOMBO (News1st): Ven. Dambara Amila Thero has raised questions on the services of former president Mahinda Rajapaksa on ending the war if other individuals are given credit. "They are saying that it was Gotabaya Rajapaksa who successfully ended the war and Basil Rajapaksa is the person who strengthened the economy," the senior lecturer at the Sri Jayawardenapura University said. He questioned whether Mahinda Rajapaksa, the president at the time, did not contribute towards ending the war. "Does he have no value? Is that what has happened now?" he queried.
