(VIDEO) Duminda Nagamuwa arrested for staging protest

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police arrested Frontline Socialist Party member Duminda Nagamuwa and 04 others for attempting to stage a protest in Slave Island, Colombo.

Police Spokesperson Senior DIG Ajith Rohana speaking to News 1st said protest campaigns and meetings are proscribed as it paves the way for the spread of COVID-19.

The suspects will be produced at the Fort Magistrate's Court on Wednesday (07) under the provisions of the Quarantine and Prevention of Diseases Ordinance.
