Sri Lanka receives Interim claim of Rs. 720 Mn from X-Press Pearl

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka has received the interim claim of Rs. 720 million following the X-Press Pearl container ship disaster.

The Justice Ministry said the sum of Rs. 720 million was deposited to the Treasury Account.

A spokesperson from the Justice Ministry said that a lion share of the interim claim would be used to compensate the fishermen affected by the X-Press Pearl Container Ship disaster.
