COLOMBO (News 1st); The Sri Lanka Freedom Party is not a powerful faction in the government, said State Minister Dilum Amunugama on Monday (05) adding that the SLFP is in fact a weak link in the government.

‘If there are those who do not agree with the decisions taken by the government, they must leave,’ he said noting that no one has a right to criticize the government’s decisions from within.

He said he would work hard to uplift the ministry he has been given rather than complaining about it.

Dilum Amunugama was reacting to the recent comments made by State Minister Dayasiri Jayasekera where the latter said the appointment of ministries was ridiculed by the people.

State Minister Nimal Lanza reacting to Jayasekera’s claims said if the latter has an issue with his portfolio is it wise for his to step down and allow someone else to take over that position.
