COLOMBO (News 1st); The Colombo Crimes Division has taken over the investigation on the birthday party which was held at a star class hotel in Colombo by violating the quarantine rules and regulations.
Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana speaking to News 1st on Thursday (03) said technical, scientific, circumstantial evidence and CCTV footage will be used by the CCD in its investigations.
However, all other investigations relating to the incident will be carried out by the Fort Police.
15 people were arrested by Sri Lanka Police and produced in court for attending the birthday party on the 30th of May.
