COLOMBO (News 1st); The Inginiyagala Police arrested 48 people for violating the Quarantine Law on Sunday (30) while traveling from Akkaraipattu to Colombo in a passenger bus.

Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana speaking to News 1st said the Driver and the Conductor were also arrested.

Legal action will be taken against the passengers, driver, conductor, and the owner of the bus under the quarantine rules and regulations, he said.
