(VIDEO) Elevated Expressway project tender goes to CHEC; opposition voices concerns

COLOMBO (News 1st); Cabinet approval was granted to award the contract for the construction of the elevated expressway to Kelaniya New Bridge (NKB) via Rajagiriya connecting Outer Circular expressway at Athurugiriya to the China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC).

Approval was granted to the CHEC to complete the project within three years and the project will be a Build, Operate and Transfer project.

However, the Sri Lankan opposition has raised serious concerns with regard to the said project.
