253 people arrested for violating quarantine regulations on Friday (14)

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police arrested 253 people on Friday (14) for the violation of quarantine rules and regulations.

9,282 people were arrested for the violation of quarantine rules and regulations since the 30th of October 2021, said Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana on Saturday (15).

Sri Lanka Police carried out a special operations at 14 Exit and Entry points of the Western Province and inspected 1,967 vehicles including 3,634 passengers, who belong to essential services.

This operation will continue along with foot & mobile patrols across the country, said the Police Spokesperson.
