426 people arrested for violating quarantine regulations on Saturday (08)

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police arrested 426 people were arrested on Saturday (08) for failing to wear face masks and maintain social distancing as well as to following the quarantine rules and regulations.
Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana speaking to News 1st said a total 6,965 people were arrested since 30th October 2020 over the above offences and 6,000 people were prosecuted and 965 were released on bail.
