COLOMBO (News 1st): A special programme will be implemented for students who did not qualify for university entrance, following the release of the 2020 GCE Advanced Level Examination results, the Department of Examinations said.
According to the Commissioner-General of Examination, the Ministry of Skills Development and Vocational Training had requested the information of such students to be directed to various courses in the private and public sectors.
“Chairman of the National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA), Tharanga Nalin Gamlath had requested the Examinations Department to provide information of the students who did not qualify for university entrance, in order to implement a special programme for the benefit of such students,” Sanath Pujitha, the Commissioner-General of Examinations told News 1st on Thursday (May 06).
