COLOMBO (News 1st); The Director General of Health Services confirmed eleven (11) deaths caused by Covid-19 virus infection on Tuesday (4th). The total number of deaths due to the Covid19 infection in Sri Lanka is 720, said the Department of Government Information on Wednesday (05).

01. The deceased is a 33-year-old male resident in Kongahawela. He was diagnosed as infected with Covid 19 while undergoing treatments in District Hospital Mathale and transferred to Base Hospital Theldeniya. He died on 03.05.2021 and the cause of death is mentioned as Acute Covid pneumonia and Acute Kidney Injury.

02. The deceased is an 84-year-old male resident in Diyathalawa. He was diagnosed as infected with Covid19 while undergoing treatments in Base Hospital Diyathalawa and transferred to General Hospital Badulla. He died on 03.05.2021 and the cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia, Bronchitis, and Lung fibrosis.\

03. The deceased is a 94-year-old female resident in Malambe. She died on 03.05.2021 while undergoing treatments in IDH Hospital. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia, Heart attack, and Hypertension.

04. The deceased is a 62-year-old male resident in Maharagama. He died on 03.05.2021 while undergoing treatments in National Hospital Colombo. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia, Chronic liver disease, Diabetes, and Asthma.

05. The deceased is a 68-year-old male resident in Aranayaka. He was diagnosed as infected with Covid 19 while undergoing treatments in District Hospital Aranayake and transferred to Base Hospital Mawanella where he died on 03.05.2021. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia.

06. The deceased is a 74-year-old female resident in Walgammulla. She died on 04.05.2021 in her residence. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia.

07. The deceased is a 69-year-old female resident in Veyangoda. She died on 04.05.2021 while undergoing treatments in Base Hospital Wathupitiwala. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid infection.

08. The deceased is a 49-year-old female resident in Dalupotha. She was diagnosed as infected with Covid 19 while undergoing treatments in Base Hospital Minuwangoda and transferred to the Base Hospital Mulleriyawa
where she died on 02.05.2021. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia.

09. The deceased is an 82-year-old male resident in Moratuwa. He was diagnosed as infected with Covid 19 while undergoing treatments in Colombo South Teaching Hospital and transferred to Base Hospital Mulleriyawa. He died on 03.05.2021 and the cause of death is mentioned as Acute Covid pneumonia.

10. The deceased is a 64-year-old male resident in Kurunegala. He was diagnosed as infected with Covid 19 virus while undergoing treatments in Teaching Hospital Kurunegala and transferred to the Base Hospital Homagama where he died on 04.05.2021. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia, Hypertension, Diabetes, Chronic kidney disease, and acute kidney injury.

11. The deceased is a 73-year-old female resident in Waskaduwa. She was diagnosed as infected with Covid 19 while undergoing treatments in a private hospital in Colombo and transferred to Base Hospital Homagama. She died on 03.05.2021 and the cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia.
