Colombo (News 1st); Sri Lanka hit another record high in daily COVID-19 infections with 1,716 COVID-19 cases being reported on Saturday (01), said the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

375 of these cases were from the Colombo District and the highest number of 43 infections were detected from Padukka.

while 247 cases were reported from the Gampaha District.

The Kalutara District recorded 158 COVID-19 cases while Galle recorded 138 COVID-19 cases.
