02 GS divisions in Matale & Polonnaruwa isolated: NOCPCO

COLOMBO (News 1st): Two Grama Niladhari Divisions in the Matale and Polonnaruwa Districts have been isolated with immediate effect, the National Operations Centre on Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said. Accordingly, the Pallekumbura Grama Niladhari Division in the Ukuwela Police jurisdiction of the Matale district was isolated effect from 6:00 am on Tuesday (Apr. 27), Army Commander General Shavendra Silva, the Head of the National Operations Centre on Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) told News 1st. The Siriketha Grama Niladhari Division in the Hingurakgoda Police jurisdiction of the Polonnaruwa district was also isolated with effect from 6:00 am on Tuesday (Apr. 27).
