Colombo (News 1st); Universities across Sri Lanka will NOT re-open on the 27th of April as planned, said Education Minister Professor G. L. Peiris on Thursday (21).

Speaking in Parliament the Education Minister said Director General of Health Services advised the Education Ministry that it is wise to postpone the re-opening date by another two weeks, given the situation in the country.

“All Vice-Chancellors were advised NOT to re-open universities on the 27th of April and to make a decision accordingly after another two weeks,” said the Education Minister.
