COLOMBO (News 1st): A special traffic plan will be in place surrounding the St. Anthony's Shrine in Kochchikade, Colombo till noon on Wednesday (Apr. 21), Sri Lanka Police said. According to Sri Lanka Police, this special traffic plan will be in place in line with the special mass which will take place at the St. Anthony's Shrine. The vehicular movement will be restricted to and from the St. Anthony's Shrine from the Jinthupitiya round-about along St. Anthony's Mawatha. The vehicular movement will also be restricted to and from the St. Anthony's Shrine from the Hettiyawatte Junction along Ramanathan Mawatha. The vehicular movement will be restricted to and from the St. Anthony's Shrine from the Jampettah Street Police Station to Christy Perera Mawatha. Sri Lanka Police requested motorists to use alternative routes to avoid any delays and inconvenience. Vehicles travelling from Hettiyawatte Junction to Pettah can use George R. De Silva Mawatha, Christy Perera Mawatha, and Sangamitta Mawatha, Police advised. Vehicles travelling from Pettah to Hettiyawatte Junction can use Reclamation Road, China Street, Gas Works Junction, Aduruppu Street, Maha Vidyalaya Mawatha, and George R. De Silva Mawatha, Police further noted.
