Toxic Coconut Oil: Police assign special team for investigations

COLOMBO (News 1st): A special team was assigned to conduct investigations with regard to Coconut oil containing toxic elements, Sri Lanka Police said on Monday (Apr. 12). The team of 10 officers will be headed by an Assistant Police Superintendent and a Chief Police Inspector," Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana told News 1st. According to DIG Ajith Rohana, the investigations pertaining to Coconut oil containing toxic elements will be conducted jointly by officers of Sri Lanka Police and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). The investigations will be conducted based on information received by the Criminal Investigation Department.
