54th National Rice Festival held under President's patronage

COLOMBO (News1st): The 54th National New Rice festival was held near the historic Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi today, under the patronage of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. The ceremony was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Agrarian Services Department. Meanwhile, a magazine prepared by the Agrarian Services Department on the occasion of the National New Rice Festival was also presented to the President. The indigenous community presented traditional jars of honey to the President during the occasion. The President then called on the Chief Incumbent of the Atamasthana Ven. Dr. Pallegama Sirinivasa Thero.
