The Youth Front of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna visited the site and witnessed how the area was being prepared for a new project on Thursday (25 March)
In line with the plan, sand is being excavated for the construction of a wall surrounding the Uma Oya reserve.
When the group contacted the Engineer In Charge of the project about the impact this will have on the Dahaiyagala Reserve, the activities that are being carried out is to ensure the surrounding area is restored to its previous condition.
