Colombo (News 1st); A leopard was discovered trapped in a snare at the Manik-Palama Farm in Agarapathana on Wednesday (24).

Director-General of Wildlife Chandana Sooriyabandara speaking to News 1st said a team led by a wildlife veterinarian was dispatched to the location, to rescue the leopard.

He said the leopard was trapped in a snare that was set up in a jungle area of the Manik-Palama Farm.

School students on their way to school on Wednesday (24) morning had witnessed the trapped leopard and alerted the locals.
