66 COVID infections from Gampaha in last 24 hours; 48 cases from Colombo

Colombo (News 1st); 48 COVID-19 cases were reported from the Colombo District on Tuesday (23), raising the total number of infections reported from the district to 31,016.

16 of these cases were from Colombo City, while 13 infections were from Boralesgamuwa. The other cases detected in Colobmowere reported from Grandpass, Mattakkuliya, Battaramulla, Bomiriya, Boralesgamuwa, Dedigamuwa, Hokandara, Moratuwa, Mulleriyawa, Piliyandala, Polgasowita and Welikada. In addition, 66 COVID-19 cases were reported from the Gampaha District, raising the total number of infections reported from the district to 18,116. In total, 251 COVID-19 cases were reported in Sri Lanka on Tuesday (23), said the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
