Woman arrested with Rs. 08 mn in cash; fails to disclose source of funds

Colombo (News 1st);  Sri Lanka Police arrested a 44-year-old woman from Pelmadulla was arrested for the possession of more than Rs. 08 Million in a bag.

The suspect is a resident from Opanayake and during interrogation she had failed to disclose from where she received the money. Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana said investigations will be carried out to determine if the money is proceeds from criminal activity.
