Colombo (News 1st); World-famous Detroit MC, Eminem on Friday released a new animated lyric video for the song "Tone Deaf" - and what's interesting about this is, it was completely created by a Sri Lankan animator.

The time indoors following the Coronavirus pandemic caused a significant surge in viewership of online content, worldwide. This paved the way for Randy Chriz and Meraki United, his personal animation project, for their long-awaited breakthrough in animation, to take the industry by storm. Randy Chriz gained worldwide fame online following the release of his own video for ‘Godzilla’, one of Eminem's tracks to hit the top 10. "When I was a kid, I was drawing things and I was really interested in drawing everything that I saw on TV. I started creating my own stuff and then I started working with MTV / Channel One in the production division. Thereafter I moved to News 1st as a Graphic Designer", said Randy recalling how he started his career. Living up to the phrase, taking Sri Lanka to the World, this animator is now directly creating videos for international artists. After Randy (supported by his wife Portia) posted the Godzilla Video on YouTube, he became an internet hit with millions of views piling up overnight. He was approached by Interscope, who were very much impressed with his work and offered him something that he could not resist, an opportunity to work with the greatest rapper of all time, EMINEM. Randy Chriz has, without doubt, become a favorite among a world-wide audience for comics and animation, AND this is a mammoth achievement for a Sri Lankan and for Sri Lanka.
