COLOMBO (News 1st): The prevailing arid-weather conditions could be experienced until the beginning of April, when the inter-monsoon season begins, the Department of Meteorology said.
“Although intermittent showers are possible, the rainfall would not be adequate,” Athula Karunanayake, the Director-General of Meteorology told News 1st on Thursday (Mar. 04).
Whilst observing the dry weather conditions experienced over Sri Lanka at present, Athula Karunanayake said temporary showers are likely from 6th to 7th March.
