Opposition Leader visits imprisoned Ranjan Ramanayake

Colombo ( News 1st ): Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa visited Ranjan Ramanayake at the Angunakolapelessa Prison today (22). "Ranjan Ramanayake is a member of Parliament to this day. This clear decision has been given to the Secretary-General of Parliament by the Court of Appeal until the final court order is given. It is both the duty and the responsibility of the speaker to bring Ranjan Ramanayake back to Parliament. He was a person who spoke against drug racketeers, gangs and thugs", the Opposition Leader said following his visit. Warning that there is a threat to Ranjan Ramanayake's life, Sajith Premadasa claimed the Government must bear responsibility if Ranjan Ramanayake is harmed.
