COLOMBO (News1st): Minister Wimal Weerawansa has said he would not leave the government after his remarks on the leadership of the government's main party stirred controversy. "I won't leave the government. But I don't know whether the government will leave me," Weerawansa told reporters on Friday. He added that the aspiration of the members of the government is to run the administration of the country smoothly and to rectify any shortcomings in the long-run. "We are holding talks within our party for the sake of maintaining unity," the industries minister noted. Weerawansa said that government lawmakers "most probably" might be criticizing him for his remarks insisting that the Colombo Port's East Container Terminal must not be sold to foreign entities.
