Hejaaz Hizbullah remanded until March 3

COLOMBO (News1st): Lawyer Hejaaz Hizbullah who was detained by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) since April 14, 2020, was produced in court and remanded until March 3 on Thursday. The remand order was issued by the Fort Magistrate's Court when the suspect was produced in court on the instructions of the Attorney General to the Inspector General of Police. Hizbullah had been arrested under charges of aiding and abetting and having close links with a terrorist involved in the April 21 attacks in 2019. Meanwhile, the principal of the Wanathawilluwa Madrasa School, Mohamed Shakeel who was detained along with Hezbollah was also remanded until March 3.
