AG green-lights agreement to purchase India's vaccines

COLOMBO (News1st): Attorney General Dappula de Livera has approved an agreement to purchase COVID-19 vaccines from India, subject to amendments, his coordinating officer State Counsel Nishara Jayaratne said. The agreement to procure the vaccines would be signed between the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation and India's Serum Institute - that manufactures the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine under the brand name Covishield.
