Police Warning on Valentine's Day parties

COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka Police together with the Criminal Investigations Department have launched a special operation to monitor any illegal parties or events scheduled for the 14th of February in line with the Valentine's Day. Stern action will be taken against all involved parties behind such acts, Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana warned on Thursday (Feb. 11). "We have received information about various illegal activities, events, parties scheduled for the 14th of February in line with Valentine Day. We have informed all territorial officers in-charge of police stations to take stern action against the organisers and the persons who provide accommodation for such parties," DIG Ajith Rohana told News 1st. According to the Police Spokesperson, Police have deployed police officers in civil attire and intelligence officers to gather information regarding such parties.
