COLOMBO (News 1st): The Practical Examinations of the 2020 GCE Ordinary Level Exam will be conducted as usual, the Ministry of Education said on Thursday (Feb. 11).
The decision to hold the 2020 O/L practical exams was reached during a meeting held at the Education Ministry, under the patronage of Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Prof. Kapila Perera.
The practical exams of the 2020 GCE O/L’s will be held after the written exams and the locations of the practical exams, will be announced on a later date, Sanath Pujitha, the Commissioner of Examinations told News 1st.
Thereby, practical examinations will be held for the aesthetic subjects: Oriental, Western and Karnataka Music, Local and Bharata Natyam and Sinhala, Tamil, English Drama and Performing Arts.
According to Examinations Commissioner Sanath Pujitha, the assessment of practical exams will be conducted under the new education reform.
The 2020 GCE Ordinary Level Examination is scheduled to begin on the 1st March 2021.
Previously, the Department of Examinations on Saturday (Feb. 06) announced that the practical examinations of the 2020 GCE Ordinary Level Examination were suspended.
