93 year old sits for an exam

COLOMBO (News1st): Withanage Leelawathi Esalin Dharmarathne, sat for the Thripitaka Dharma and Pali language examination at the examination centre set up at D.S. Senanayake College in Kandy. She is a mother of 4, living in Nawalapitiya. Her eldest daughter is a director of Health Services in the Western Province, while her second daughter is a professor at a university in Australia. Her 3rd and 4th daughters are both graduates and are serving in the capacity of a teacher and a lawyer respectively. Esalin Dharmarathne had served as a Notary and an English teacher and subsequently retired. Today many years after her retirement she sat for this examination personifying the true meaning of the words Nothing is impossible. She was escorted to the examination centre by her 3rd daughter today. She wrote for 2 examination papers that began at 7 am and 12 noon.
