Measures underway to extradite 'Kimbula Ela Guna': Police

COLOMBO (News 1st): Measures are underway to extradite Sri Lankan drug lord 'Kimbula Ela Guna' who was arrested by Indian Police on Sunday (Jan. 31), Sri Lanka Police said. "Steps have been taken to get down Kimbula Ela Guna to Sri Lanka under the provisions of the SAARC Convention, and apart from that, the bilateral agreements between Sri Lanka and India," Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana told News 1st on Thursday (Feb. 04). Notorious Sri Lankan drug lord Kimbula Ela Guna, who had links with LTTE, was arrested by Tamil Nadu Q branch detectives, at the Chennai airport on Sunday night (Jan. 31).
