Independence Day celebrated in Jaffna

Colombo (News 1st); Celebrations were held on Thursday (04) in Jaffna to mark the 73rd independence day.

A parade commenced from the Pannai square in Jaffna and proceeded towards the Jaffna Fort and concluded near the Jaffna library. The event that followed the parade saw the participation of the General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party State Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara. Our correspondents noted that independence day celebrations were held at all district secretariats located in the Northern and Eastern Provinces.
