NEC: Applications called for registration of new parties

COLOMBO (News 1st): Applications are being called for the registration of new political parties until the 1st of March, the National Election Commission (NEC) said on Tuesday (Feb 02). According to the NEC, the details regarding the submission of applications for the registration of new political parties were published in the Government Gazette. There are 76 recognized political parties, registered in the country at present.
