RAMANAYAKE'S PARLIAMENTARY SEAT FINAL DECISION IN FEBRUARY

COLOMBO (News 1st): A decision with regard to the parliamentary seat of MP Ranjan Ramanayake will be taken on the 9th of February, Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena said. According to the Speaker, a decision in this regard will be taken upon analysing the decisions reached on such instances in the recent past. Samagi Jana Balavegaya MP Ranjan Ramanayake was sentenced to four-years rigorous imprisonment on 12th January, by the Supreme Court for committing contempt of court.
