Sri Lanka to receive India's COVID-19 vaccines next week

COLOMBO (News1st): President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has said that Sri Lanka will receive the first batch of COVID-19 vaccines from India next Wednesday. "The frontline health care workers including doctors, PHI officials, nurses will be vaccinated," the President said during an event in Kalutara. He added that Army and police officers, and senior citizens who are vulnerable to the COVID-19 infection will be among the first groups to receive the jab. "We are doing all of these things in an orderly manner," the President insisted.
