TWO COVID DEATHS ON THURSDAY (21)

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Director-General of Health Services confirmed that two COVID-19 deaths were reported in the country on Thursday (Jan. 21), raising Sri Lanka's COVID-19 death toll to 276. The details of the deceased are as follows: 01. A 71-year-old female from Peliyagoda. She was diagnosed as infected with COVID and transferred from Colombo General Hospital to Mulleriyawa Base Hospital where she passed away on 20th January 2021. The cause of death is mentioned as acute diabetes pneumonia. 02. A 46-year-old male from Athurugiriya. He was diagnosed as infected with COVID and transferred from Colombo General Hospital to Homagama Base Hospital where he passed away on 19th January 2021. The cause of death is multiple organ dysfunctions due to nervous system infection with COVID pneumonia.
