Dilapidated buildings strip students of their right to education

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Dhamminna Maha Vidiyala that falls under the purview of the Dimbulagala Education zone has 450 students studying from grade 1 to 11. The students are unable to study at this school when it rains. The roofs of these buildings are broken and the doors are in ruins. The students are even at times forced to use the shelter of a tree as a substitute for a classroom. Parents point out that even the teachers here don't have a place to stay as the teachers' quarters are dilapidated.
