Construction of Mahinda Rajapaksa Gem Tower begins

COLOMBO (News1st): The construction of the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Gem Tower began in Ratnapura on Friday. "We believe that we will receive foreign revenue worth USD 5 billion in the next four years through the gem and jewellery industry," Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa said. The tower will include an office complex, a shopping mall, a banking system, and a car park.
