CSE's Wednesday turnover tops Rs 9.14 billion

COLOMBO (News1st): The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) reported a daily turnover of more than Rs 9.14 billion on Thursday, the highest in nearly a year. The ASPI, that is the CSE's benchmark index crossed 7000 basis Points for the first time since November 2015 while turnover exceeded Rs 7 billion. Earlier this week, market capitalization at the CSE crossed Rs 3 trillion. The ASPI gained another 61.08 basis points today, 0.87 percent higher than yesterday, to close at 7,097.84. However, the more liquid S&P SL20 Index closed in negative today, losing 6.84 Basis Points, 0.25 percent less compared to yesterday.
