Gov. to introduce a system based on electorates and that preserves the merits of the proportional representation

State Ministers Chamal Rajapaksa and Dullas Allahapperuma expressed their views regarding the Provincial Council Election. Despite the preparations that are needed for the election the government is considering on necessary constitutional amendments and he opined that it is better to take a decision whether to hold the election from the old system or from the new constitutional amendment, State minister Chamal Rajapaksa said. The Government will introduce a system based on electorates and that preserves the merits of the proportional representation system, Minister Dullas Alahapperuma said.
