Manning Market traders protest opposite Presidential Secretariat

Colombo (News 1st); Traders who used to engage in business at the Manning Market in Colombo protested opposite the Presidential Secretariat on Monday (07), citing the area provided to them at the Peliyagoda Manning Market is not adequate for trading purposes.
They claim the issue was directed to the authorities on multiple occasions, however, a definite solution was not provided to them.
The protested said they converged at the agitation site in order to obtain a solution for their issues.
10 traders were thereafter permitted to meet with the Urban Development Authority to raise their issues.
