COLOMBO (News 1st): A total of 34 people were arrested on Friday (Nov. 20) over the failure to follow COVID-19 health guidelines, Sri Lanka Police said.
“So far 392 people in total were arrested, for the failure to wear face masks and maintain social distances,” Police Spokesperson, DIG Ajith Rohana said on Saturday (Nov. 21).
The 24 Police jurisdictions currently isolated will continue to remain isolated.
DIG Ajith Rohana requested the people in the isolated areas to act in compliance with the restrictions imposed on the movement, in order to contain the spread of the virus.
