Colombo (News 1st); Education Secretary Professor Kapila Perera said the matter of reopening schools will be discussed at Monday’s (16) cabinet meeting.
Professor G. L. Peiris, the Education Minister is expected to seek the view and opinions from fellow cabinet members with regard to re-opening schools in Sri Lanka, he added.
The Education Ministry is in the process of preparing a mechanism to review the process of providing education to school children via online platforms.
Education Secretary Professor Kapila Perera said the program will be implemented by an Additional Secretaries for Qualitative Education and School Affairs.
Further, a report on the participation of students for online education will be obtained via all Principals as well as from Provincial, Zonal, and Divisional Education Directors.
