President visits Anuradhapura

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa engaged in religious observances at the ancient Ruwanwelisaya in Anuradhapura yesterday, to pray for the welfare of everyone across the globe. President Rajapaksa who arrived at the Ruwanwelisaya called on the Chaithyaramadipathi Ven. Dr. Pallegama Hemaratana Thero. Subsequently, President Rajapaksa, first lady Ayoma Rajapaksa and Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva engaged in special religious observances. The mahasanga also blessed everyone engaged in health and security services, who are in the forefront in the fight against COVID-19.
