Colombo (News 1st);  The Ceylon Electricity Board said construction of the 300 MW Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Power Plant in Kerawalapitiya will commence next week.

CEB Chairman Vijitha Herath on Wednesday (11) said the LNG Power Plant will add 300 MW to the national grid and construction is to be completed in two years.

300 Million US Dollars was allocated for the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Power Plant project in Kerawalapitiya.
