Colombo (News 1st);  The new entry point in Kamburupitiya on the Southern Expressway will be declared open on Monday, 16th November 2020.

The Kamburupitiya entry point was created based on a request made by Chairman of the Matara District Coordinating Committee MP Nipuna Ranawaka.

A request was made to further extend the Southern Expressway through the Kamburupitiya entry point to Deniyaya.

A proposal was also made to extend the Expressway from Deniyaya to Hambantota.
