Colombo (News 1st); 02 more people died of COVID-19 in Sri Lanka, reported the Department of Government Information on Wednesday (11).

The details are as follows :

01. A 40-year-old male from Colombo 11 was ruled dead upon admission to the National Hospital in Colombo. A postmortem examination revealed the Cause of Death was COVID-19 related cardiac arrest.

02. A 45-year-old male from Kelaniya was identified as a COVID-19 infected person and was admitted to the Hambantota District Hospital for treatment on the 01st of November 2020. The cause of Death was ruled as COVID-19 related cardiac arrest.

Earlier, the 42nd COVID-19 death was reported in Sri Lanka and the victim was an 80-year-old male from Panadura who was ruled dead upon admission to the Police Hospital.

The post-mortem revealed the cause of death as a COVID-19 related cardiac arrest.

Accordingly, the total number of COVID-19 deaths reported in Sri Lanka stands at 44, confirmed the Director-General of Health Services.
