Bus fares to increase with effect from midnight, subject to conditions

Colombo (News 1st); The Ministry of Transport has granted permission to increase bus fares by a 1.2 ratio with effect from midnight on Tuesday (11), on the condition the number of passengers are transported as per the seating capacity

The minimum bus fare of Rs. 12/- will be increased to Rs. 14/- said the Ministry of Transport.

State Minister Dilum Amunugama said it will be mandatory for all buses to install hand sanitizer bottles at all doors of the bus used by the passengers.
