Colombo (News 1st); The Committee on High Posts approved the appointment of seven new Ambassadors nominated by the Government.

The Ambassadors are:

Mr. Ahamed A. Jawad –  Ambassador to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Mrs. Aruni Ranaraja – Ambassador to Netherlands

Mr. Dharshana Perera – Ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden

Mr. M.K. Pathmanaathan – Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt

Miss. S.D.K. Semasinghe – Ambassador to the Republic of Poland

Mrs. C. A. Chaminda I. Colonne – Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand

Air Marshal Sumangala Dias – High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Canada
